The winner of more than 300 awards and the author of more than 100 books, Freedman is a member of the U.S. Basketball Writers Hall of Fame. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Freedman has followed the Boston Celtics his whole life and has written stories about the team for various publications. He, his wife Debra, and dog Boston, live Indiana.
